Hello Rasool; The Profibus solution for S5 CPUs uses a IM 308C in conjunction with the configuation software "ComProfibus"; Siemens refered to this as a ET 200U Profibus slave. As Siemens has discontinued the production of S5 modules, this will be an expensive solution. Have a look at one provider found on the web (there are others, search for them): http://www.lpc-uk.com/siemens/profi/main.htm As for the cables for the IM 463-2,refer tochapter 7of the manual "S7-400 Module data" http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1117740 It discusses the use of an IM 463-2 connected to IM 314s. They refer to the cables generically as "721 cables" and they give the pinouts for the cable and the terminating connector required (luckily, as they are also no longer manufactured). Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
