S5 to S7 Conversion Error

Dear All,

Here I involved in S5 to S7 conversion project.  S5 - 942H to S7 412-5H System.

After conversion , i found some errors follow,

Errro log:

E Ln 000208 Col 025: Actual data type BYTE does not fit the formal type INT of the formal parameter QLAE

W.r to manual, i came to know FB244 send block converted to FC14 but error seems like data type not matching & improper DB number assignment.

I need suggestion to rectify this issue by fix this error or shall i use new blocks for communication.

Dear,

FB244 (SEND) was used to address communication processors (CP) cards like CP525 (serial), CP143 (Ethernet), etc ...

These cards have their equivalents in a S7-400.

I don't know if you have bought some replacement CPs.
If so, you need to use the new matching blocks for them.
They have other parameters.
It doesn't make sense to try to solve the datatype problems you mention with the FC14.
That part of the program must be rewritten.
