Hello Rizal Dwi Listio you can in general keep the 943B 115U (mind you, upgrading it to a S7 wouldn't hurt either, no need for a 400 though, a new 315 is plenty powerful enoughas a replacement for it). Having said that, please check first the part number of your 95U's asit will determine what type of SINEC L2 interface is has on board and it is most likely one of the following two (the part number will get you to the relevant manual): 1.) 6ES5095-8MB... (Profibus FDL communication) 2.) 6ES5095-8MD...(Profibus DP Slave) I would not be suprised if it isnumber 1 and your network isin fact running Profibus FDL Send/Receivecommunications between the 115U's CP5430 and the95U's (in which case you'd need a CP342-5 in your 95U replacement S7 300) to keep the FDL link to the 115U and below are a couple of example links just in case it is an FDL link: How do you configure an FDL connection between an S5and S7 via PROFIBUS? SIMATIC NET Quickstart FDL examples If it is number 2, you'd probably be better off to add an IM308C as a DP Master to your 115U, as the CP5430 DP Master configuration does not use GSD files and you will have to manually entercertain GSD file related DP Slave Parameter data (see the above manual and also HERE). You could (and should anyhow if you want to keep the 115U) check the configuration of the the CP5430, which can be set up to do FDL comms (aka PLC-PLC communication in S5) or set up to be a (SINEC L2) DP Master. I hope this helps and good luck |

New question published by ARNEST is split to a separate thread with the subject Connecting S5 CPU as master and S7 CPU as slave. Best regards |
