S5 to s7: What are FB1, FB4, FB252 i FB253. (Can't find any documentation)

Mladjo Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello ! While converting S5 to S7, I got several functions marked with *. (see atached listing). But, I can't find any explanation for folowing functions in step5v manuals (90U95UEN.PDF, STEP 5 manual.pdf). FB1, FB4, FB252 i FB253. Before going any further importing this to STEP7, I would realy like to know what this functions do. Could someone point me to documentation where this functions are explaind in detals. Thank you. bigbang Experienced Member Joined: 9/16/2008 Last visit: 4/19/2023 Posts: 56 Rating: (0)	Hi Mladjo, As of I know in S5 95U series of CPU FB 1 and FB 4 is used for Addition and Division only. In Step 7 u dont require standard FBs for that. And regarding FB 252 and FB 253 which is used for Profibus Communication. In Step 7 you can use standard blocks i.e. SFC 14 and SFC 15 for Read and Write Functions.

Mladjo Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Is this correct: When S5 converter include FB1 and FB4 it replace this block's with FC88 and FC85 calls (ADD:32 and DIV:32), so I include this functions from S5-S7 converting block (standard library) to my S7 project. Is this OK? Or should I write STL code for that which is impossible for me? (Now AWL compilation does not return error like before with FC88 and FC85 calls)
