Can you program an simatic s5 CPU with Step 7 software? Is it backwards compatable? |

Dear: STEP7 is not an update of Step5. They are two different lines of products. |

Hi Have a look at http://www.ibhsoftec-sps.de/german/Produktauswahl_S5_S7.htm With this software you can use a FCxx from S7 and save it to a FBxx for S5 .But obviously all of the S7 stuff cannot be used in S5 ( and viceversa) If you need to port a S7 program to S5 try this out. Hi Assetmngr Sorry but S7 and S5 are two different software packages S7 is not backward compatible with S5. Cheers |
