I have an S602 setup to allow communication to an S7-1516F processor, and it works great. I also have a network printer behind the S602 that I can access through it. I have a TP1200 that I would like to access also from the "outside".

I have an IP for the HMI on the outside, and have verified gateway and IP settings, but can't go online with the HMI. I can ping it, and if I unplug the ethernet cable, ping fails.The S602 is setup the same for the other devices I can access (different IP's obviously)

Am I missing a setting?

Why do you want to go online with?? the Panels have no Online Diagnostic functions....

If you want to load the Project to the Panel or do something else then you have to get sure that the Ports you are using are not blocked.

If I am on the local machine network, I can go online with the panel and open the runtime and monitor/control the cell.

I wanted to be able to do this from the plant side of the S602, I currently have all ports open the TP1200. It seems that I need to use Sm@rtserver to do this.
