S7 1200 And IM151

amsd Experienced Member Joined: 7/8/2012 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, I am doing configuration for s7 1200 and IM151 but before that i want to know that it is possible to take 20 nos V20 drive on profibus node with s7 1200 and IM151 8 PN/DP + (SIMATIC DP, DP MASTER INTERFACE FOR IM 151-7 CPU OR IM 151-8 PN/DP (ET200S), MODULE WITH PROFIBUS DP INTERF. (9 PIN SUB-D, FEMALE) AS DP MASTER). I know that we can connect 126 node on profibus but capacity for CPU still COnfused????? Thanks In advance.

But i am not confirm that whether v20 drive on profibus available or not?? i have MLFB no :- 6SL32105BE211UV0 in technical data only MODBUS/USS mentioned.

Nelliyan randy Posts: 461 Rating: (29)	First make sure the interface ur drive suppotts ??? S71200 can support both modbus RTU/TCP If ur using TCP just ethernet swithch will be required In case of DP, Master CM 1243-5 or Slave CM 1242-5 moduels has to added to ur 1200. Regards, Nelliyan.G

I am thinking on S7 1214c(CM 1243DP) + IM153-1 configuration to fullfill my I/O's requirement but not sure on this configuration.

Prajyot Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Hello amsd, Sinamics V20 does not support PROFIBUS communication. It supports USS modbus communication. If you want profibus communication only you can use G120 drive. Best of luck, Prajyot.
