Good morning I would like to ask you about the correct connection from PLC S7-1200 to Sinamics V20 by the USS or RS485 only wiring. I have only module CM1241. My question is about the resistors. I found this module need to connection resistors, because dosn't have internal. But in the another manual i found that sinamics v20 need additional resistors at the end of connection. Please look at the file of attachment. Could you help me, how can i make this connection? What is correct version in my type? USS and 485 is the the same type of wiring? Hello Michał.
Both end points demand terminating resistors, because the connection is RS485. From the PDF you have supplied, there are two images. You will use the top picture for the DB9 connection at the CM1241 side. The bottom picture, right side, indicates the resistors used on the last V20. --- The alternative at the CM1241 is to use a Profibus connector. The Profibus connector already has the terminating resistors built inside. See also the PDF page attached showing a resistor bridge you can buy from Siemens..
