Hello Habela; I agree with IBN-Service that a BMS has to comply to many standards that are not covered by the S7-1200 at this time. You need FailSafe blocks, ESD logic and you mustmeet NFPA requiurements. To give you an idea of what you would need to implement have a look at the following information: First, a Siemens BMS proposal: This is how the product is introduced: • Pre-packaged designs optimally scaled to fit your fired equipment process • Pre-assembled NEMA cabinet integrated with TÜV-certified PCS 7 hardware and software • Industry compliant to NFPA 85 and 86, IEC 61511 and 61508, and ANSI/ISA 84 standards • Pre-configured and TÜV-certified BMS engineering templates To compare offerings, see this PPT presentation from a competitor system Burner Management System - Preferred Instruments Each Burner Management System should be designed in accordance with the below listed guidelines to control and monitor all sequences of the start-up and shutdown of the burner -National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 8501 /8502 or others) -Industrial Risk Insurers (IRI) -Factory Mutual loss prevention guidelines Each burner management system should be designed to accomplish a safety shutdown inthe event of an unsafe condition.Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Can I use it as a partial part only of the burner management system reducing the number of relays on the hardwire? |
