S7 1200 Battery Module Infos

Dear all,

one of our customers asked us about the possibility of inserting a battery module for 1200 PLC.

I tried to find informations about it, expecially the informations about the charge status , etc that I would like to show on HMI.

Is there any idea on how gathering these infos ?

Hello,

For what I can see about the BB1297 in the manual, it's design for long-term backup of the Real-time clock.

Here is the diagnostic you get with it: Critical battery level < 2.5 V, Battery diagnostic, Battery status and Battery status update.

I don't think you will be able to get the current battery charge.
