S7 1200 Clock Memory Byte

Eual Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I'm running S7 Basic V10.5 to a 1200 CPU via profinet from PC and for some reason the clock memory bits do not pulse when I run the program. I've followed all the steps from various manuals and even downloaded a global library file (attached) where the clock and system bytes have been set up but to no avail. If anyone has made this work I would really appreciate some help...................been struggling for 2 days Attachment ClockMemory.zip (1192 Downloads)

It may not work properly in your case. Try with the attached library which is compatible with STEP 7 v10.5. For detail of that library refer here - How can you avoid overwriting the flags that are allocated for system and clock memory bits in the user program? Hope this helps. Mr Håkan Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I had the same problem with the clock memory bits didn't work or "tick". My problem was that I had used a tag for memory area %M0.0. And whem I changed that tag to another memory area %M2.0 the clock started. Because the default value for allocating clock memory starts att M0.0, my tag interfered with the default clock memory tags.

jrh_engineer Posts: 5 Rating: (5)	I had a similar problem with an ET200S CPU. On the first machine it works fine, but when I went to transfer the code to another machine, the clocks did not toggle. I tried Compile (rebuild all) and Download all blocks, but neither of these worked. Finally I did the following with good results: 1. Disable the clock memory 2. Download code version with clock memory disabled 3. Re-enable clock memory 4. Download code version with clock memory re-enabled. In my case the bug in the TIA Portal is that once you set the clock enable bit, it assumes it is already set in the next download without checking the actual hardware. By disabling the bit, the software is convinced it needs to download the clock enable information. This should have been done automatically when I did the Download (all blocks) option.

Also when you downloaded the program blocks to the second ET 200S, did you also transfer the hardware settings? Generally when two controllers are used, for each controller at least for the first time the hardware configuration must also be downloaded along with program blocks. (Complete Download)
