s7 1200 communication with vb using pc access

There are new SP available: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/60035301 PC access was for S7-200, but you could in theory use it with S7-1200: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/41928929 As you will see, there are restictions in the usage of pc access with S7-1200 because pc access was developped for S7-200. So why not using the standard Simatic Net OPC Server. Since V8.1, S7-1200 is released there. Here a link telling you how to proceed. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39960679 And you can still have a VB application acting as OPC client

Thanks In the S7-1200 forums here, a VB application example is posted (with source) that shows how to communicate between VB & S7-1200. No cost solution other than customizing to suit your needs.
