S7-1200 connection with S5 via RS-422 with 3964 protocol

szyroki Regular Member Joined: 2/28/2013 Last visit: 4/18/2021 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I have a question: It is possible to connect, and send data to S5 CPU fromS7-1200 CPU connected via Profinetto ET200sp with CM PtP module? The connection between S5 and ET200sp must be realized via RS-422 with 3964 protocol. I'm preparing to modernization of an old weighing system connected with S5 135U. I don't want to change anything on the S5 program. S7-1200 connected with ET200sp would replace the old weighing module. Regards!

So the manual for the CM PtP is only talking about S7-1500. I am afraid that in combination with a S7-1200it is not going towork. Last time I connected to S5/TTY/3964(R) was with S7-300 through CP341. Best Regards.
