S7-1200 CPU 1214C connect to a Danfoss Drive FC301

Shaka2014 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Bill: Im Just got a S7-1200 CPU 1214C and I need to connect the PLC CPU to a Danfoss Drive FC301. Is this PLC S7-1200 is capable to do this connection ? Thank you. ------------------------------- New subject after splitting from S7-1200 communication to Profinet drives.

If you have the GSD file from http://mcliterature.danfoss.com/WebPublish/PhansWebPublishData/data/manuals-html/042031/042031_02/02_042039.html loaded into your portal software and it allows you to add the device to your project tree, yes, you can control it using the s7-1200. It depends on what version of TIA Portal including service pack and potentially what update. It is best to use the most recent version available for your specific hardware and firmware level on the PLC. For example, Version 4.0 firmware requires V13, and the latest version 13 of portal has update 5 available. Version 3.0 firmware can use V11, 12 or 13. Anything below 3.0 and you have potential problems as that is end of life and not being supported quite as well.
