As it currently is really hard to use the Siemens web page to find firmwares (you get a lot of 404 File not found), as they have apparently deleted and moved pages without updating referring links, I will post this here - as this thread is the first shown on Google when searching for S7-1200 firmware. Even their S7-1200 portal page is deleted without any redirection. Firmware Version V4.1 released for S7-1200 CPUshttps://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/#document/106200276?lc=en-WW You need to be logged on in order to download the files. New features: more work memory (25 kb), faster processing, PLCSIM simulation possible, online hardware disabling (options handling), new motion and PID functions. And remember: Only S7-1200 V4 CPUs can be upgraded with Firmware V4.1. You can recognize the version of your PLC on the Siemens article number: The 5-6th letters from the right (marked bold above) is the firmware version. UPDATE: I just realized that my assumption is wrong! 30 is V1-2.2, 31 is V3, 40 is V4 S7-1200 Firmware comparision here (not including V4.1 though): http://cache.automation.siemens.com/dnl/jE/jE3NjE1AAAA_92047260_FAQ/92047260_S7-1200_CPU_firmware_overview_en.pdf I have attached the comparison in case the pages gets deleted/moved...

Note, Firmware V4.1 requires apparently TIA V13 SP1 UPD1 This TIA Portal page seems to have the correct and updated links - for TIA software, S7-1200 and S7-1500: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/#document/65601780?lc=en-WW Added: Due to my frustrations regarding a lot of dead links on the Siemens Industry Website these days, I have created this little tool for myself: It will let you enter a dead link (for example to a Forum post) and try to convert it to the new address. Hello Juan, What do you mean the link is not correct? I followed the link above for the V4.1 firmware, selected the link to the 6ES7214-1BG40-0XB0 CPU (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/107540156), which brought me the Firmware update for CPU 1214C, AC/DC/RELAIS, 14DI/10DO/2AI page. NOTE: The V4.1 firmware seems to have been replaced with V4.1.1 firmware to correct a bug in the firmware. I clicked on the 6ES7214-1BG40-0XB0_V411.EXE (9,4 MB) link and this took me to the page that told me I needed to register with the SSO registration because of export restricted SW regulations. I assume once I register and get the approval, this link will provide me with the V4.1.1 CPU firmware you requested. Does that link (6ES7214-1BG40-0XB0_V411.EXE (9,4 MB)) take you to a page with this message: "You do not yet have a general license for the software download. This activation is necessary to enable you to perform the check for export restricted SW in individual cases. Activation is performed via the SSO registration. "

New question published by karthikk is split to a separate thread with the subject Download CPU 4.0 program into a 4.1 hardware. Best regards |
