Dear dzwilu, You can use S7-1200 without memory card. Here is a link to manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/36932465 See chapter 3.4 Programm is maintained, when power loss. And even data can be retained. Best regards, Wizard |

Hello dzwilu A 1200 CPU does have load memory on board and usage of an SD card (NOT MMC) is optional (unlike an S7-300 which does NOT have load memory on board and MUST havean MMC). The 1211C an 1212C have 1 MB of integrated load memory, the 1214C has 2MB and it is"flash memory" which retains the program/data in case of power failure (think of it asan inbuild SD card). The reason for the optional SD memory card is twofold: 1.) It can be used as a so called transfer card (e.g. pre-load the program onto it and use it to "download" it intoone or many 1200 CPU's without the need for the programming software) 2.) Use it as a permanent feature in casethe inbuilt load memoty is not large enough. NOTE: Symbols and comments do reside in the 1200 CPU (unlike 300's or 400's) so your load memory requirements can grow easily. I hope this helps |

Hello, 3rd use case: if you have to replace the plc, just put the SD card into the replacement unit and it can be used. Without any Engineering Software... |

5th case: you can use an empty transfer card to reset the PLC password. |

Dear zapla1, please your questions translated into English, not everyone understands the Russian. Google translation from Russian: Someone explain to me in Russian is: how should I save and where to DB after power values there have not been changed to the initial. Or in the series data controllers need not store DB? If so then where to save them ?? PS: should be put in the DB on RETAIN opposite of those values that you want to save? |
