Does anyone know how to make a "cnc program" and save it in a s7-1200 plc.

The 2 axes should make a simple movement (like a V, with an arc at the bottom of the tip.)

I have the program from a cnc controlled machine (see attachment), but how is it stored in the PLC?

I think i can use the the web interface to transfer a recipe ti it, but i dont. know how to store it, and what format it should bee.

I have control of the hardware and the PTO setup, but need some information about the "program" itself that should control the movement.

The S7-1200 can control single axis motion. It is not a CNC controller or motion controller in the true sense. The S7-1200 is not capable of co-ordinated movement.

The motion control on the S7-1200 has been made available to have a fixed program. The Motion Basic (?) program can be translated to PLC code but the two axis will be fired as singular units. Your program will have to work out what the speeds are to ensure proper simulated coordinated motion.

It is not ideal. There are other tools better suited for this. Unfortunately the lesser expensive tools would not be of the Siemens brand. Linux CNC is one such option.

What are your thoughts?

Ok, but I have talked to siemens support, they thought it was possible, but could not help me all the way, so you may be right.what kind of hardware would you suggest?

I have talked to my client again, it is not necessary to be able to change program, it just needs to be able to make this one simple move.
