s7 1200 PID output_PWM

hakanhhh Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	ı have problem s7-1200 PID. I 'm trying dc motor speed kontrol.I'M using ''PID_compact'' block in the ''cyclic interrupt''. The output is used Output_PWM of the''PID_compact'' . But how will the cyclic time of the Output_PWM set? my motion driver has to work between 8-10 KHZ. (is that state possible?) ı'm waiting your helps.thanks

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 1/22/2025 Posts: 4396 Rating: (1464)	Hi Hakanhhh, It is very usual that drives uses pulses as reference but 99% of the times, he needs PTO signals and not PWM signal: PTO is a reference where the pulse frequency is proportional to the desired vaule; PWM has a fix frequence and the weight (proportion on/off) is proportional to the desired value. PWM is frequently used in heating system. I suggest you first to check (or confirm) first, with type of setpoint needs your drive.

Hi Pegaia, thanks for your answers, Do you think,I have to use PTO Generator [DB] with together ''PID Compact'' [DB]. Is it true? So which output of PID uses? Could you explain next steps? PWM is used in the user program like a analog value and a PTO like a axis. You can use both with PID: PID output to PWM address or PID output as velocity referencis for PTO axis.
