S7-1200 showing error continuously, showing lower level component error

When you go online with the plc and look at the online / diagnostics portion of the project tree, and then in the middle pane look at the diagnostics buffer, what red device(s) are listed?  If you find the hardware device number, you can then look in your tag table of system constants, sort by number, and locate your device.

It could be you left an analog input disconnected, but diagnostics enabled to detect broken wire (only as an example).

6es7214-1ag31-0xb0 (s7-1200, 1214c dc/dc/dc cpu) is showing error continuously, showing lower level component error. What to do? Is this of firmware issue?
