It means that it is the Web server that executes the code and that the server has a scripting execution engine for php. In my opiniuon the Web Server of an S7-1200 does not supportserver based scripting. There is no php engine in the S7-1200. You could use javascript with the code being executed by the browser reading the page (client based scripting).
