S7-1200 wireless temp. sensors

When you say collect, what you do mean?  Home automation where some device accept temp signals and reacts by controlling heating / cooling / vents / dampers / fans in some way?

Or, do you mean for the purpose of logging?

Or, do you mean for the purpose of looking at temperatures around the house at a glance (for eyes only)?

The S7-1200 is not the correct place for this since that PLC has no wireless temperature inputs (at least not that I'm aware of).

A rasp pi running home assistant, connected to an rf reader that accepts oregon scientific (or other wireless temp / humidity sensors), can accept the temp / humidity inputs, and based on your configuration requirements, operate heat / cooling / dampers and such.

S7-1200 is more industrial strength, and will cost considerably more to get working.  However, once it is working, a power outage can be more easily tolerated.  PI's are quite finicky about such things.
