Hello geri; Of course you can use the S7-1200 controllers with distributed I/O systems, whether from Siemens (ET 200M, ET 200S, ET 200MP, ET 200SP....) or from other manufacturers, such as Wago, Weidmuller and others. Easiest is using the integrated Profinet port on the S7-1200 controller for distributed I/O connection. You can also add a Profibus master (CM 1243-5) to the S7-1200 rack so you can setup remote I/O on Profibus-DP just as easily. For a good presentation on distributed I/O with the S7-1200, have a look at the video and documents from this link Automation tasks in 10 minutes- S7-1200 distributed I/O Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
