I have a S7-1500 PLC with a 1543 CP module in my side. Other side have a s7-300 PLC. We are trying to use PUT/GET functions. But It doesn't work. Do we need configuration one side or both side? If we need only one side configuration, is my configuration(in picture) right? I added other side PLC S7-300(only PLC not DB,Blocks). Is it necessary and right?

GET/PUT communication is always one side configuration. Either in master or slave plc.

With GET/PUT you can exchange data via datablock or marker memory. Try with single word as MW100 or P#M100.0 byte 2 in both side.

Suggestion would be configure get put in S71500 PLC side.

Enable the GET/PUT Access in CPU property under protection.

Now to capture error while communication , move status of communication block  in some other location on error bit.

Why you are using GET/PUT with extra CP and S7300?

You can try Idevice communication with onboard port of S71500 with S7300 directly, which realtime PN communication.

I had same problem. I solved it. Here is description and solution.

I needed use GET in ET200SP CPU with communication processor. Data was in 315-2DP with communication processor at rack num. 2.

In 315 CPU was necessary only prepare DB with data.
In TIA portal wasn’t necessary 315 CPU HW confing. Conection is with Unknown partner. ONLY correct settings for this partner. Important was adjust Rack/Slot for partner to 0/2. Only with this numbers it works. So it isn’t real position of communication processor of 315 CPU.

I tested connection with 315 CPU to ET200SP CPU and also ET200SP CP. Both was running. :-)

Hi, for me, it was S7-1500 to S7-400 link.

After trying a lot of ways finally got it working.

I'm using TIA V15.1 on the 1500.

I just followed the steps on this document

How do you configure and program an S7 connection and the “PUT” and “GET” instruct... - ID: 82212115 - Industry Support Siemens

The key part was to create the conection FIRST, indicating : 

RACK: 0 , SLOT: 2   - Even if the CP is on another position. in my case the CP was on the slot 5.

And Conexion Resource: 03:

TSAP: 03.02

Then i inserted the instruccions on the program and it worked fine.
