S7- 1500 Display: "Connecting"

 Any update sir, same problem with my PLC always connecting status...

 Something is going seriously wrong. I had the same problem in 3 CPUs CPU1511PN-1 already within 4 years.

The problem is that we cannot check the diagsnostics because when the display remains in "connecing" state is not communicating with the CPU to exchange data and bring you info from the CPU, neither the X1 ethernet is available to go online and check. You just loose the CPU being able to do nothing. From my observation, this behaviour is related to electrical schocks on the network that may cause the software to corrupt in the cpu making it unusable. I have one unit in hands that after alot of power on and offs sometimes starts in STOP state. I will try to upgrde the firmware in the CPU to see if the problem is corrected (I believe that the firmware crashes causing all this) and I will be back with news.

what about to check if your expected network settings on devices are correctly configured? It looks to me that your network settings are wrongly set at devices, depended to expected network properties, this can be problem that device can't connect to some other device (is inside your PLC probably so then check can be easy) and does connection procedure as never ending story.
