Hi,

I've got a problem with a simple Modbus RTU (RS485) communication. The Comm_Load block returns no "done" and no "error" but a "status" 16#7000 (I've tried to set it to 0, but it comes backs to 16#7000). So the Modbus Master doesn't start, and i've never seen the leds Tx/Rx light.

The hardware configuration is based on a CM Ptp / ET200SP ST Station on a Profinet IO, with a 1513 Cpu. All is ok, i've got no defaut, no diagnostic.

I've also tried with a S71214 with a CM 1241 rs485. Got the same issue.

The DB Modbus Data is not optimised.

I've looked into all the examples found on this site, but never found any differences in code, parameters, data, or configuration...

maybe one hint, try use instructions from MODBUS library, not from MODBUS (RTU) library. Give pls info about success or don't hesitate ask another questions.

I’ve got only one Modbus library. And it’s the Modbus RTU. See my library in attachment.

I’ve been thinking too that my problem is coming from a version’s block, but I haven’t found anything yet.

Any other idea?

can you pls check again your Instructions - > Communication pprocessor library? You can have there 2 Modbus libraries - Modbus (RTU) and MODBUS. What's your TIA version, SP, Update?

Update: I got TIAv12 ... and I have only MODBUS library. TIAv13 should have MODBUS (RTU) and also MODBUS library.

maybe I again write these words, but pls think about uninstall of TIA, after that proper clean with CCleaner or similiar cleaning SW and try install again. It's really strange. Maybe one question, did you install for first TIAv13 without SP1 and then you install SP1 to it, or install fresh TIAv13+SP1? Maybe it's time to download again full installer from this site.

UPdate: important update. can you pls create som HW cfg with S7-1200 v4.x and check if in this case you have also access to MODBUS library?
