S7-1500 Optical Link Module,

AutoGen_376367 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, please can anybody help suggest a solution for the following. On previous projects I have used an S7-300 / 315 DP/PN, I have connected the DP port to an Optical Link Module for connection onto a fibre optic network, I have then used the PN for connection to my HMI. I now want to achieve this same result using S7-1500. Can you get an OLM with a Profinet interface or will I need to fit an additional Profibus Comms Module to connect the S7-1500 to the OLM? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks Sam

(The 1516-3 PN/DP. If you want to choose this one, please check before the protocols you are using and if the S7-1500 is capable of them. ) if you start buying new network devices like an OLM, perhaps you can directly switch to the SCALANCE components. Perhaps have a look at the catalogue. But if i understood your question in the right way you want to use a IE/DP Link? Have a look at this device.
