I want to do something similar, but need to go through a corporate enterprise IT network, which is proving somewhat difficult for security.

Somebody recommended a full Cisco CPwE setup, but it seems a bit mad, and having the IDC industrial data centre server in an IDZ...

Looking for simpler and more cost effective alternative, with the S7-1500 profinet across the connection to the server with maybe kepware/SQL or a siemens datalog method

I am looking to propose the alternative to the corporate IT guys, who in general don’t really want anything they are not in control of connected to the IT network, but we have many S7-1500 gateways to connect in each factory, so want a fairly standardised solution to propose
