Is there any tutorial on how to integrate these?  I seem to be getting a connection between the two, but it is not updating with communication.  In TIAP V13 I have unchecked "Optimized Block Access" in the data block I want access to.  I also have the PLC set as "Full Access" and the "Permit access with PUT/GET communication from remote partner" selected in it.  The wonderware version we have is Archestra.DASSIDirect.3.  If anyone has any tips or anything as we seem to be stuck that'd be great.  Thanks

 What exactly do you want to do? 

Define your statement of problem in detailed. S7 1500 PLC version?, which protocol?, is there latest version of wonderware scada?  , so its easy to understand in 1st way and give the solution.

If you want to communicate S71500 PLC with Wonderware SCADA then you have following options.

1)You will find direct driver of S71500PLC in wonderware.

2)You can use Modbus TCP communication, S71500 will act as Modbus TCP server and SCADA will act as Modbus TCP client.

3)TCP/IP communication via TCON,TSEND,TDISCON blocks

4)Opc connection, you can make S71500 plc as opc server along with Simatic net so SCADA will act as OPC client.

S7 1500 side you need to allow get put access .

 We are trying to make the connection between the s7-1500 and wonderware DASSIDirect version 0.3.  This is not the latest version of wonderware as we are aware of the latest version SIDirect OI which would allow us to just use the symbol names, but we do not have it yet.  We are using a TCP/IP as the protocol.  

Thanks for the tips so far we are looking into them.  Do you have more information about the TCON,TSEND,TDISCON blocks?  Would we need these in out main organization block or where to establish connection?

Hello,

I have S71500 Sample application for Modbus TCP communication protocol.( You dont need any license at S71500 side for modbus)

Its working with wonderware SCADA. If you need give me detail, i will share it.

Your settings you have mentioned in post 1 are correct.

The only thing which is different in DASSIdirect configuration to a S7-300, is that you have to use rack=0 and slot=1 in the destination TSAP.

When the driver supports the native S7 protocol, there is no reason to use Modbus.
