Is it possible to connect S7-1500 PLC (any configuration) to an existing S7-400 H system HCPU are 414-4HJ04 or 414-4HM14)

What do you want to do exactly?

ok, you want to connect them, but how?over DP, PN/IE, serial, S7-connection?

have a look in the S7-400H-manual, to see whats possible with S7-400H, chapter 14, communication:
