S7-1500 TSEND and Optimized Blocks

Hello everyone,

Have a question regarding using TSEND to send an Optimized block. We have a vendor doing some work for us and we originally told them to use non-optimized blocks for the UDTs that get sent because of issues we had seeing items rearranged at the receiving end. Our testing was on an S7-1200 using older firmware so maybe that was an issue.

Anyway the vendor is using Optimized blocks, we've modified the structures on occasion, and thus far the information is sent as visually seen when creating the UDT.

So my question is this: when using TSEND for an optimized UDT is it "smart enough" to send in the order defined or are we just lucky, so to speak, thus far and TIA doesn't need to do any optimization because it is sufficient as defined?

Yes it is smart enough.
