S7-1511c - Connector?

wideko Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	Dear experts, For an internal project we bought a S7-1511c-1PN (6ES7 511-1CK00-0AB0) In the box there are some connectors, for which I can't find the reason/position to use. In the device-specific-information you can find the manual for this Compact-CPU. See Chapter 4.3.2, page 645 This connector is called Infeed element: manual The infeed element is inserted on the front connector and serves to shield the analog onboard I/O. Note The analog on-board I/O does not require power to be supplied by the infeed element. The infeed element is, however, necessary for shielding. also see the wiring diagrams of the on-board analogue periphery hope this helps, regards,

wideko Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	Hi mopS04, Yes, I know. Your link was perfect. .... thanks again. In that document I found the purpose for the connectors. But I had to find the link the other document which I followed <https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/media/67462859_wiring_shield_web_en/start.htm> for a movie which explained the mounting of the (bigger) connector. So that's why I made the comment about the work to be done by Siemens to explain the use and install of the connectors clearly in the manual for the PLC. They could start with a list of parts to be found in the box and link every part for the description and instructions. regards, Willie
