Alpesh Jari Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear all, 1). how can i communicate (S7 200 + cp 234-1) to (315-2DP + Ethernet Cp), what r the steps. 2). S7 200 and 4 PC over Ethernet, is it possible to access parrallely for all PC or one accessing and other modifying but not online. i m facing problems with this, pls focus on it. Thanks

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, let me try to answer. To 1. You can do S7 Connections between the S7-300 and the S7-200 over Ethernet. There you can run S7-Functions PUT / GET on a both sided configured Connection. See: How do I configure an S7 connection for data communication between an S7-200 and an S7-300 via Ethernet? To 2. The CP 243-1 can run up to 8 S7-Connections. So you should be able to have 4 PCs on the same CP. There I see no problem. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, maybe I misplaced something. I was thinking of S7 Connections from a PC to the S7-200 PLC, not about PG Connections. PG Connections do not have to be configured with the Ethernet / Internet Wizard. In case of the PG Connections I am not sure how many connections can be done at the same time. I fear there the limit might be at 1. Best regards J_Bell

Alpesh Jari Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thank you again About 1st point i saw the link given.............. few query :In S7 200 - for data read and write in wizard, i must mention VB for 200 and DB / MB for 300. on the other side ifi used GET / PUT, i must use M / DB ( i can not use VB here) for the read /write locations of the partner ??? PLs focus .... Thank U

If you want to write form the S7-300 to the S7-200 you will have to use the DB1, the DB1 is the VB area in the S7-200. Best regards J_Bell
