S7 200 Connected to OP 177B PN/DP

Maybe I seem stupid but it's the first time when i'll practice with the hardware.

today I started to realise my project, the first problem is the communication between my labtop and S7 200

I found PC/PPI cable but I can't use it because there is no male port in the labtop.

Also I can't use the USB/MPI cable.

What is the solution?

that your pc dont have serial port???

in this case you can try with an usb-serial converter........

in the manual of cpu 224 there is an information wich is : port 0 use to connect with TD200 or network supervisor so ???

Dear  <bahi07>  it really pains and frustrates me to see you struggle so much. I really hope the links you received inspires you. If it was a software problem we could send you a solution, but hardware is a different matter. I encourage you to dig in and work on your own solution.

Getting the PPI cable to work is key. So the question comes - where does the cable that you have come from? Perhaps someone used it before you. Either they used an older PC that had a serial port or there was a USB to serial converter device used.

There is a very good chance that you can find either an older PC or find that converter. The converter device may be fitted to another cable perhaps.

I am on standby for a 16 hour flight to go finalize a project and I am personally booked for other installations until mid February. So I cannot even offer to come over and help you.. so give the guys facts (photos, screen shots, drawings) to work with to assist with helpful suggestions.
