Japers, The ip address that your IP department has given you is invalid according to the subnet mask that they also gave you. The mask you were given is 255.255.0.0 In this case the address should be 128.0.x.x to 191.255.x.x You can read more about it in the FAQ: What is the connection between subnet masks and IP addresses with regard to subnetting and supernetting (Classless Inter Domain Routing CIDR)? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/2073614 Most equipment do support ip addresses that are outside the "valid" addresses so I am not sure if this is why you get this error but it sounds like it. |
