Hi,

I have a problem setting up a CP243-1 with the parameters given to me by our IT Department.

If I set an IP Address of 192.168.10.36, a Subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 and a Gateway Address of 192.168.0.1 I get the following error message "This is not a valid subnet for the address specified"

I have used this range without issue on a number of CP343-1s.

Any guidance would be gratefully received.

Thank you very much for your reply Michael.

The link that you gave is most informative. The 2 S7-200s that I need to change onto the 192.168 network are already networked on a 10.40 network so it's not life or death if I can't change them. We've migrated most of the S7-300 and 400s over without issue.

I reckon that if the ETH5_DATA data block, that got created from the Wizard, didn't have POU then this could have been edited directly and may have worked. As it is, I think that it's the checks in place in the Wizard that screws it.
