S7 200 WinCC flexible 2005 connections??!!

TOTOO Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello, I’m a student and in my project I’m using a PLC S7 200 CPU 222 connected to WinCC flexible 2005 SCADA system via RS232 PC/PPI cable and USB/serial converter…and attached my communication settings for both WinCC and Micro/Win….and I have configured the dip switches of the cable so that switches 2 and 5 are set to 1….(2 for baud rate of 9600 bytes and 5 for PPI(M Master))…so I have made a sample project just to check the connections….downloading the ladder to the PLC was successful but whenever I try to transfer the project from WinCC an error appears (check your settings, interfaces, cables,….) so could you please help me to find what’s wrong with my settings…. UMENCHO Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 12/18/2022 Posts: 10221 Rating: (1175)	Hello Look at What should you watch out for when setting up a connection between a WinCC flexible PC Runtime and an S7-200 via an RS232/PPI cable? ...you set all the DIP switches to "0" except DIP switch 3... mynamesnotnick Advanced Member Joined: 10/10/2007 Last visit: 12/7/2022 Posts: 20 Rating: (3)	remember you have to reset the hmi (cycling the power is the easiest way) and select the 'transfer' option on thehmi when it comes up, so the hmi is 'looking' for communication from the PC.
