HelloNikzitronik, I think you pointed to a misleading link. Anyhow, AFDs are not configured in Simatic Manager. You should make sure that you have already installed GSD files for the LR560. If you can reach your LR560 in the hardware catalog, please, drag and drop them to PROFIBUS(1) and PROFIBUS (2) PA master system. You can read more in, Best regards. H-H

HelloNikzitronik,
I think you forgot to attach it.
The hardware configuration window and even Net Pro Window will not give you a typical realistic network architecture with all network elements. For example, if you have repeaters for Profibus DP network, you won't find them in hardware configuration. If you have some optical fiber cables and OLMs for the Profibus network, you still can't see them in hardware configuration although you should adapt network settings but still can't see these components. The same applies for AFDs. They have nothing to be configured. So, you won't find them in HW catalog. It doesn't matter if you use 1 AFD or 4 AFDs. It doesn't matter if you put a single instrument per AFD or use all ports. It doesn't matter if you use AFDs from Siemens or Weidmuller or whoever. You won't even see a ring architecture in HW window. It's just a line to which you connect your transmitters. However, you still have to make the correct settings in FDC for the ring redundancy. I wish if HW window would show a better network presentation but this it how it goes with the old Simatic Manager. Maybe they have something different with TIA portal. Best regards. H-H |
