hi BV, I checked the MPI setting for TouchPanel, the node address is neither 2 nor 3. I have tried using 1, 4 or 5, all not work. regards, Mark |

Hello Mark, CPU MPI port (resistor should be ON) -> Panel MPI port (resistor should be ON). In order to have connection via MPI with touch panel, MPI port on CPU should be networked. I suggest you to use a 6ES7972-0BB42-0XA0 connector in CPU side in order to have a possibility to connect panel and your PG. And take in mind the distance between CPU and panel in case of MPI connection. So, when the netowrk is down, did you check in diagnostic buffer of CPU what is wrong there? Take a look at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/30116121 and http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/32270600 rules about how to use profibus connector and the logic of switch On/OFF the connector's resistor. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |
