S7-300 Back Up battery

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (999)	If CPU is working with the small MMC, than it is a maintenance-freeCPU and do not need a battery. If CPU is working with the long Simatic - Memory Card, than it is an old one and needs a battery.

Hello,
As already said our friend IBN-Service does not have a problem with batteries in these CPU's go see below Technical data - Backup

You will find a section named "Backup" where it will be specified if you need a battery for this particular CPUor if the memory is through the MMC, Look at the following picture for an example.
