S7-300 comminication problem

Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Hi experts, I have a problem in communicating with my PLC S7=314-2 DP v 2.6.6 using PC USB adapter. I have two PLCs S7-314-2 DP v 2.6.6.There was no problemcommunicating with the 1st PLC with the PC USB adapter using settings in PG/PC interfacePC Adapter(Auto). But when I tried to communicate with the 2nd PLC using PC USB adapter using settings in PG/PC interface PC Adapter(Auto) it didn't work. What could be the problem with my 2nd PLC??I tried also to download a program to my MMC using the 1st PLC and it downloaded the program. But for the 2nd PLC it had an error that I couldn't establish connection. the PC adapter is connected to my MPI slot but I tried also to connect it in my DP slot and it didn't work. What could be the problem guys?? Please help me. Thanks raffy

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	If your ports on PLC2 are set to 12 Mbit you can't reach it via adapter. If your HSA =31 and PLC has address 100 for example - you wont see it also. Also take care that PC and PLC addresses should not match. From my experience (Auto) doesn't work well sometimes - can be used only for right speed detection in PC/PG - then you should change it to manually selected speed. If nothing from above i would try to connect to MPI directly, manually set up different speed (starting with 187.5k,1.5M as most popular) to get some reaction.

Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Hi Ste39, I used accesible nodes but there is no node available..I have already solvemy problem.. But I don't know whydid the problem occured... I used PC Adapter (Profibus) then connected thePc adapter to the DP connector in the CPU.. Is it because the PLC was used with Profibus connection before and it was saved in its EEPROM that'sthe reason why I can't connect to it?? But the firstPLC was also used with Profibus connection... I don't really get it.. What's youropinion on this matter?? Thanks for helping guys, Raffy
