Maybe the MC35i differs a little bit from the MD720-3 regarding the AT-commands and the behavior of reaction. In this case you have to adjust the program.

GPRS solution with your hardware equipment:
there is now already existing solution for that. Why not change MC45i to MD720-3?
There will be solution available in march 2008.

I have tryed to apply this simple example program for sending SMS messages to my project. I am able to copy all the FC's,FB's,DB's and source files to my project. But when I try to compile the source file OB1 I get 14 errors. Is this beacouse I am useing a different CPU than in the example project or what could be causeing these 14 errors? Any input would be great on this matter.

may you post what type of errors you get and where? Maybe you add also what type of CPU you use... and the order # of it.

Hello.

I have attached a picture of all the errors that show up after compiling. I get this errors when I try to compile in the source folder OB1 SCL source file. You will be able to see the exactly what I am trying to compile in the error log in the attached picture.

I am useing CPU 314C-2DP - the order number is:6ES7 314-6CG03-0AB0

I have just gotten an answer from Siemens supprot. And it solved my problem.

I just had to swithc the mnemonics to German in the Options/Costumize/Language menu, and was able to compile the OB1 without errors.

Problem solved, so now I hope I can get the thing to start sending some SMS mesages :)

I copied all the blocks and sources to my project and downloaded it to the CPU. And If I look in VAT1, the n_status is 1029 - which I think means that there was an error while initializeing. If I restart the modem with the SMS_reset bit the n_status goes to 2 and it stays there... It waiting for the OK from the modem if I understand the Script corectly. I think that the CP341 and the modem aren't comunicating at all, beacouse non of the light's on the CP 341 aren't blinking. Do I need to change any other parameters on the GSM modem with the hyper terminal??? It is suposed to be in terminal mode right?

I have just noticed that on the CP 341 the SF light is ON. The module in online hardware config outputs this error msg: IF1 Break on recieve line occured.

But I still got the same problem that the modem doesn't initialize. When I download all the blocks and sources and OB1 to the CPU I then look at the n_status variable in VAT1 is 1002. 1002 is set when there is an error in initialization(If I look at the SMS_SEND source file) But if I try to reset the modem this n_status variable goes to 2 and stays there, no matter what I do. If I then reset it again the CPU outputs a SF error. It points to FC17 which is locked.

Is this simple msg example even functional ??? Has anyone implemented it?
