s7-300 cpu 314 types

isurya Posts: 107 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have CPU PLC S7-300 type CPU314 with P/N : 314-1AG13-0AB0. At the moment this type is DEFECT and I have SPARE with difference P/N, these two spares are : 6ES7314-1AE04-0AB0 6ES7314-6CG03-0AB0 Please help me to get information about these two types SPARES, SI IT POSSIBLE TO REPLACE THE DEFECT ONE ( 6ES7314-1AG13-0AB0 ) ?? What are the difference among these 3 types ? indra

UMENCHO Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 9/10/2024 Posts: 10228 Rating: (1181)	Hello, Take a look for CPUs info at Technica/Cax Data tab: 6ES7314-6CG03-0AB0 6ES7314-1AE04-0AB0 6ES7314-1AG13-0AB0 So, defect one could be replaced with 6ES7314-6CG03-0AB0 for sure. With the other one depends of your project. BTW why do you think the CPU is defect? Could be the MMC is... best regards, Hristo Mihalev

What are the difference among these 3 types ? indra Hi......isurya CPU314 with P/N : 314-1AG13-0AB0 this cpu is a new version V2 but6ES7314-1AE04-0AB0 this cpu olde version V1 . This two CPU's only problem in Version. The 6ES7 314-6CG03 could be used as spare part, but it has onboard I/O and Profibus port.

But this would be the perfect substitution there. n the case of a spare part replacement: If you replace a CPU (e.g. 6ES7314-1AG13-0AB0) against a compatible follow-up type (in this case ES7314-1AG14-0AB0) the STEP 7 project need not be changed. It is also not necessary to upgrade the STEP 7 software version. best regards, Hristo Mihalev
