I'm trying to connect a cpu315-2 dp configuration behind my Y-link. But for some reason it is not communicating with the DP master. I followed all the steps in the manual:https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/19951154/19951154_DP_ISlave_on_HSystem_en.pdf When I configure the 315cpu as a "configured station" on the DP master system, there is no problem and everything runs as should. Pic 1 shows the HW configuration with the 315cpu (PB adr 8) as a "configured station" (everything works). Pic 2 shows the HW configuration of the 315cpu. Pic 3 is the Y-link configuration (2X 153-2BA70-0XB0 and one 197-1LB00-0XA0) Pic 4 is the (apparently faulty) HW configuration with the 315cpu configured as a "additional field devices" as explained in the manual (19951154_dp_islave_on_hsystem_en.pdf) Things I triple checked are: -PB cable. -correct GSD file for the 315CPU. -the 315cpu is not on the same profibus subnet as the Y-link. The first question is obviously is, is it even possible to setup van 315cpu as a DP slave behind an Y-link in this way? Do I need to make some extra modifications somwhere? I read somwhere that the GSD file of the Y-link needs to be modified? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

Hello OliverO85 DP-V0 is supported by every DP Slave, it has to be be otherwise you'd never get cyclic I/O data exchange, so I'm really not too sure what to make of Siemens NL advice (perhaps they misunderstood your question or "misspoke"?). This - in combination with FAQ 19951154 which you already consulted - also means you must be able to use your CPU315 as a DP Slave behind a Y-link. I suggest you double check that you followed the advice in with FAQ 19951154 correctly and most importantly check that:
