Dear mohit, For connecting CPU to PG we have the following possibilites: 1. Using the profibus/MPI port of the PG: You should have profibus cable with suitable length and two bus connectors: 2. Using USB port of the PG: You have to use USB PC adapter. Another old method is to use PC adapter with serial interface and connect its serial side to the Com port of a PC/PG. It's not allowed to connect SUB-D 9 pin sockets directlly between PC/PG and CPU. It won't work and may damage your com port of PC/PG as there is 24VDC on a pin of the nine pins of MPI /DP port of the CPU. Regards, |

Dear mohit, To add on to J_Bell input, if you are using PC Com port you cancommunicate using the following methods [see attach]. There are two setup depending which type of programming cable you have, one is 9-pin com adapter and the otheris USB adapter. Hope these information are useful toyou! with regards, how come?
