S7-300 CPU stations & SINAUT & OLM

Currently, I have a big project which contains a number of S7-300 CPU stations& SIEMENS industrialprogrammers(PG). In this project I want to connect a master station (CPU313C-2DP) via OLM (Optical Link Module) with four slave stations (also CPU313C-2DP) in star topology, and then each slave CPU is connected with a number stations (CPUs, soft starters and power meters) via ProFibus protocol in a line type topology. Also on other end I want to connect a CPU stationvia TIM & MD3 to another MD3 at the other end of the network (also CPU313C-2DP). Please I want a conformation if my designis correct, and if not I am reallyin great needof your help. Thank you in advance. Tomy the Master

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Tomy, well... as far as I know this works pretty well... The communication over the TIM 3V and the PROFIBUS communication should not interfere each other. It is configured on separate ways. But I wonder... why do you use a dial up modem on a redundant PROFIBUS network? Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Tommy, well, I see no problem with this configuration, you use an OLM Star configuration. This is certainly no Problem, at least in my eyes. I only hope that the PROFIBUS lines at the Ends of the star are not too long. Best regards J_Bell
