I have the following configuration:

S7-315F 2PN-DP (6ES7 315-2FJ14-0AB0) with a CP 341 (6ES7 341-1CH02-0AE0). I want to make S7 315 Modbus RTU Master in a network with several third parties equipment. The software I am using is Step 7 Professional v13 SP1.

Do I need any licence for this? What library do I need? In Step 7 v5.5 I needed both the library and the licence. In Step 7 v13 I can find some functions for Modbus (Modbus_Master, Modbus_Slave) but they seem to work only for S7-1200 and S7-1500.

Is there a document or an example to explain what to do, as it is for S7 V5.5?

I understand that for S7-300, S7-400 the Step7 v13 includes the functions for Modbus RTU communication. As far as I could understand, the programming is done pretty much the same as in Step7 v5.5.

What I still cannot understand is if for S7-300 (CP341) I still need to buy the licence (6ES77870-1AA01-0YA0 or 6ES77870-1AA01-0YA1 for Modbus Master and 6ES77870-1AB01-0YA0 or 6ES77870-1AB01-0YA1 for Modbus Slave). These licences also include the hardware dongles.

Also the Step 7 v13 includes a function (MODB_341) in Communication/Modbus slave (RTU). What is this function for if P_RCV_RK, P_SND_RK is enough for Modbus RTU communication?
