S7-300 no connection to HMI

Boanda Advanced Member Joined: 3/2/2013 Last visit: 2/14/2025 Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	Hello, I`m triyng to connect a cpu - 315-2ag10 2dp to 2 HMI 177A stations via profibus. I can connect to the PLC with a USB MPI adapter. I can write data to the PLC but I can not connect to HMI stations. I have installed WinCC flexible 2008 Protool (with xp compatibility mode - running win7) 6 S7 v5.5 sp5, updated from sp2 I tried almost everithing but I cannot find a way to connect and send new screens on the hmi. There are 2 HMI stations connected via a profibus cable. Thanks for your support.

ALGUDKAR RAO Posts: 621 Rating: (10)	Boanda It shows me that he can not connect to HMI Hello Boanda first try to establish the communication.use MPI cable.communicate with Pc to Hmi open the HMI set pg/pc selct and set baudrate and adress same way as in prosave Hmi then try to establish the communication.

Could you tell me what software I need to onnect and work with the tp177A hmi and 300 cpu??? I also have the usb mpi box. As software, I have WinCC flexible 2008 and step 7 5.5 sp1. Do I need any other software??? Protool or something??? thanks in advance for your help.

Ste39 Platinum Member Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 11/20/2024 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hi Boanda, The software you have them all STEP 7 and WinCC Flexible, if you want to try to get the converter PPI Multimaster Cable 6ES7 901-3CB30-0XA0 so you can connect directly between PC and HMI. (Only for transfer the project), Please note that this converter with this order number has the COM port on the PC side. How can you transfer a WinCC flexible project serially to a panel? With USB port the cable is 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0 Hope this help
