S7-300 Protection Level

Goran_ Posts: 141 Rating: (0)	I have set protection level to Write protection, and assigned pwd. When I wanted to check if it is working, I was asked for pwd, so I typed it, pressed ok, and I was able to download that. So far everything ok. The problem is that now it doesnt ask for any authorization. Even if I change pwd, it still doesnt ask for any authorization and allows me to write data. How is this possible, where are my credentials saved, and how can I return to the mode where authorization was required?

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings Just asking the obvious: did you exit Step7 Manager? Because it remembers the password until you exit it, so you don't have to write it every at every download. Best regards

Goran_ Posts: 141 Rating: (0)	Yes, I have tried everything, and no success. This morning I tried again, and the it was asking me for credentials again. So the only way to make it forget entered credentials, is to restart the PC (not the PLC). :) After that it is ok. Thanks to both of you for trying to help.
