S7 300 Redundancy and communication with PS station (WinCC Flex 2005)

iuly Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a project with fallow configuration: - 1 simatic S7 station CPU 315 – redundant (whit 2 CPU 315-2DP) - 1 PC HMI Station with Wincc Flexible - 2 small Allen Bradley PLC ControlLogix Is possible communication between PC HMI Station with Wincc Flexible and CPU 315-2DP via MPI and make redundancy on some MPI connection. The first choose for communication between small Allen Bradley PLC ControlLogix was directly to PC via TCP/IP (I speak with Nemo on forum and he tell my only WinCC Flex 2007 is possible). The second solution (and the final) communication between PC with WinCC Flex and small Allen Bradley PLC ControlLogix will be via CPU 315-2DP and CP 352-5. I send you my project in support question (bat not in forum-the zip > 1M)(probably the hardware configuration is not 100% correctly because I do not receive for now software for redundancy). If the hardware configuration is not OK, please you ken make modification for my. My direct email is iulian.cristea@iea-saem.ro Thank you.

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hello, I am sorry, but there is no redundancy on MPI. What do you plan to do? The MPI Interface is not intended for any redundant use. The S7-300 itself, besides the Software redundancy solution inbetween two S7-300, is not capable of handling redundancy. Only the S7-400 is able to do this, usually on Ethernet. I hope this will help a bit... but I am still confused about your question. Stay calm
