Attached are screen shots of the Wonderware SMC DASS7 (I/O interface for SMC) setup. On the last page is a pic of the response from Wonderware Support with the error message. In the last section on page 8 are the Item Names (Siemens Tags, example DB11,REAL28) that are now used to retrieve data from the PLC. Is this the info you asked for?

Hello J_Doggg Question: Did you install and configure SIMATIC NET (in your case Softnet PB S7, order number 6GK1704-5CW08-2AA0). I'm pretty sure you need it (perhaps othres can confirm this) with your WW DASS7 access via CP5611 and theFAQ How do you configure an S7 connection for a user application via PROFIBUS with the SIMATIC NET PC software? may also come in handy for any question you may have with it's setup. Should you have an Ethernet port or CP in your S7, I'd ditch the CP5611 and use WW's DASSIdirect via Ethernet instead. This solution does NOT need SIMATIC NET as the "middleware" and is very easy to set up. I hope this helps |

Hello, All the settings are correct in 'Wonderwqare' side. But there is need to configure OPC Server. Our expertfritzshown you how must proceed and what you need. Andfritz's suggestion about Ethernet conncetion is much cheaper. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |
