Hi rjx24, S7-1500 PLCs are migration products equivalent to an S7-300, I attach a migration guide: Migration Guide: SIMATIC S7-300/400 to SIMATIC S7-1500 |
If this information really helps, you could use the Rate function. |

Hello rjx24; Are your S7-317 CPUs connected in a redundant design, so that a primary CPU can fail and be replaced by a standby CPU. If so have the programmers used the Software Redundancy package? TIA Portal allows you to configure S7-1500H-R CPUs in redundant format have a glance at this presentation: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109754833 Hope thus helps, |

Many thanks for your reply. I have downloaded the Migration Guide, currently studying it to understand the process. |

Hello rjx24; FB101 "ZWR_ZYK" is part of the Software Redundancy package it is yhe principal block for managing redundant exchanges between the 2 S7-300 CPUs. https://support.industry.siemens.com/dl/files/637/1137637/att_28772/v1/S7_swr_b_en-US.pdf If your client wants you to maintain this redundant connection between the 2 S7-1500 PLCs , you will need to insert a pair of S7-1500R or S7-1500H in your new project Have a look at the links provided in my earlier reply for more information. Notice the redundancy link in S7-1500R/H systems is based on Profinet, no longer Profibus. You might have to think about replacing the ET 200M head modules with IM 153-4, you can then retain the S7-300 I/O modules the old program used originally with the IM 153-2. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
